Head downtown for the annual Fort Griffin Fandangle Parade held annually on the First Saturday of Fandangle! This event is the highlight of the Fandangle season with real cowboys, stagecoach, cast, and many more highlights of western heritage. Come be one of the hundreds of spectators lining the streets of Downtown Albany to watch this spectacular annual event.
Parade Entry
If you want to be more than a spectator we extend a Fandangle welcome to you and your organization to join in on the fun and excitement. Call the Fandangle Office @ 325-762-3838 for more information and an entry form.
The parade will begin to line up at 4:15 PM on Griffin Road in front of Nancy Smith Elementary School and begin to make its way downtown at 5 PM.
Parade Route
The parade begins at the Church of Christ Church on Main St. and goes down Main St. thru downtown and turns on South 3rd St. at the south end of the Shackelford County Courthouse. Then the parade goes around the Shackelford County Courthouse and back on to Main St. , heading back north thru downtown to the Church of Christ Church.
